THE NEXT LEVEL - WE NEED YOUR VOTE!!!!

Well its nearly the weekend and you have been really busy creating some fantatic challenge entries - so keep them coming in over the weekend - you have until 6pm on Sunday to get your entries in to qualify for the prize draw.
.
We would like some feedback from you on what type of Challenges you would like to see over the coming weeks. We had great feedback from you all before our opening issue and we have lots of ideas on the table - but we really want to make sure we are hitting 'all the right buttons' so far as you are all concerned.
.
We have put a Voting Button on the side bar which will give you a chance to tell us what you want to see. If you select 'Something Else' please pop down to the Have your Say section of the Issue and tell us what that looks like.
.
If you are visiting us for the first time this week, scroll down to Issue 2 below.

  1. To me there are so many sketch challenges and theme ones already out there. I love the way both The Next Level challenges so far have been tutorial ones. It's great to learn something and then look at others work. I didn't join in the first one because those flowers were not my cup of tea (sorry lovely but not my taste) but I still enjoyed learning how they were made.
This week's ribbon one was superb. I do hope you'll continue along these lines rather than doing the same as other challenge blogs.

  2. I personally really enjoyed last weeks challenge (the lollipop flower) because it taught me something new. We all see lots of things which inspire us but often don't have a clue about how to go about creating them. (I still have this week's challenge to complete but know it will again teach me something new).

So personally I would prefer technique / tutorial challenges and this is what draws me to your blog.

I appreciate though that this could be difficult for you to maintain over a substantial period of time and a lot of pressure on you all to come up with different techniques and tutorials every week.

Perhaps you could have a fortnightly tutorial challenge and then other styles of challenges on the other weeks. After all some people may prefer not to be restricted by having to learn a new technique. Not everyone has time to learn something new or lots of craft materials on hand but could perhaps follow say a sketch or theme more easily. This way people aren't excluded as everyone would be able to participate at one time or another.

Sorry this turned into a long post. But now I have explained - I will go and vote!

Thanks again for a great challenge blog. It is fantastic.

    Love Jules xx

  3. Have to agree with Jules the new techniques challenges are brilliant its good to come out of comfort zone, but can see that it would be hard to keep up week on week. there is a lot of sketch challenges out there which are great but it is nice to have a bit of variety. So perhaps challenges could be alternated over a period ie technique, theme, style, shape, sketch back to technique, this would give everyone their favourites.

  4. I agree with the comments above - I love the tutorial/technique challenge. I wouldn't have thought of using either of ideas we've had so far but they were both great. I don't know about everyone else but I would be happy with a fortnightly challenge as this gives us plenty of time to practice and create. And there's always a challenge somewhere if you need one!

  5. The tutorial challenges bring a great new element to the challenge world. Sketches and "limited supplies" challenges are also my favs as I dont have loads of fancy equipment or time!

  6. I really wanted to select them all, but could only pick one. Technique Challenges are wonderful, and to force us to step outside ourselves. I'm a Technique Junkie so I get challenged alot. So I voted on Sketches, because to me that IS a challenge. Hope this helps...

  7. I am with all the above I like to try new things and always have a long list of "things to try" but never get around to them this gives me that extra push to get it done.

  8. I would not want tutorial challenges every weel I never joined in the first week as I was not fond of the flowers, last week time would not let me enter but I will as I really love challenges I think to do a week of each would be a great idea with the tutorial maybe once a month

  9. So sorry for being late and it may not even count but I just got back from CA watching my youngest graduate!!! I love the scetches but I agree with some above that those are already out there. I love learning new techs but I would maybe like to see them taking turns each week maye? (I like the technique challenges better because it does push the box open for me ;0)
